Chain Saw Service Prices

In an attempt to create affordable and semi-predictably priced services for our customers we are going with a flat rate pricing scheme based on expected repair times and our hourly Labor Rate. This is similar to what you would encounter at a hair salon, the automotive shops (including automotive oil change shops), or just about anywhere else.  Here is a short list of some of our services and corresponding prices for Chain Saws (Note: our $5.00 minimum charge applies):

****Note: The prices below reflect only the LABOR cost for the corresponding charges and assumes parts will have been purchased from Superior Power Equipment. All parts are additional unless specifically stated otherwise, as in the case with the Tune-up.****

Chain Saws:

  • Chain Sharpening (on the saw), $8.00
  • Chain Sharpening (off the saw), $4.00
  • Bar Reconditioning, (on the saw), $12.00
  • Bar Reconditioning, (off the saw and clean), $8.00
  • Install new Chain, $5.00 (includes R&R of saw bar and cleaning of bar mounting area)
  • Install new Air Filter, $5.00 (includes removal of excess dust and dirt from air box)
  • Install Chain Oiler, $25.00 (includes R&R of chain, saw bar and clutch/sprocket system and cleaning of bar mounting area)
  • Install new Saw Bar, $10.00, (includes R&R of chain and cleaning of bar mounting area)
  • Install new Sprocket system, $15.00 (includes R&R of chain and saw bar and cleaning of bar mounting area)
  • Install new Clutch, $15.00, (includes R&R of chain and saw bar and cleaning of bar mounting area)
  • Install new Rewind Rope, $15.00
  • Install new Rewind Spring, $15.00
  • Install new Oil/Fuel Filler Cap, $5.00
  • Install new Bar Cover, $5.00
  • Install new Rewind Assembly, $5.00
  • Flush of fuel or oil tank, $10.00 each
  • Tune-up, $65.00, Includes
    • Install Spark Plug
    • Install Fuel Filter
    • Install Carburetor Gasket and Diaphragm Kit (Rebuild Kit replacement available upon request)
    • Clean Carburetor
    • Inspect Carburetion
    • Adjust Carburetor
    • Inspect Air Filter
    • Inspect Chain
    • Inspect/Adjust Chain Tension
    • Inspect Safety System
    • Inspect Exhaust Screen/Spark Arrest Screen
    • Test for Proper Chain Oiler Operation

    • Suggest additional repairs
  • Engine Rebuild, Starting at $100.00 Labor, plus parts (Contact us for a more specific quote and to check availability of the needed parts)
  • Additional repairs at a reasonable labor rate of $50.00.  The labor is based on a reasonable amount of time for the job at hand
